KIHOMAC Wins Contract to Support MARTA Train Modernization with Stadler

KIHOMAC, Inc. has secured a key role in the MARTA train modernization contract. The company partnered with Stadler, a global leader in rail vehicle manufacturing. Under the agreement, KIHOMAC will manufacture 104 Drivers Desks, and will deliver 720 Drivers Cab Paneling units. These components will support the modernization of Atlanta’s metro rail system.

Stadler holds a major contract with the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) to build 127 new metro trains, with two options for an additional 25 trains each. This long-term agreement is valued at over $600 million and marks one of the largest rail investments in U.S. transit.

Atlanta’s MARTA network serves millions annually and includes direct access to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world’s busiest airport. These new trains will help MARTA expand capacity, improve rider experience, and modernize one of the nation’s most critical transportation systems.

“We’re proud to contribute to MARTA’s modernization efforts,” said a KIHOMAC spokesperson. “This project reflects our growing role in the transit and commercial manufacturing sectors. It also demonstrates our ability to meet exacting quality standards on complex, high-volume programs.”

KIHOMAC will build the components at its U.S. manufacturing facility using precision fabrication techniques. KIHOMAC will customize each Drivers Desk and Cab Panel to meet Stadler’s design and safety requirements.
