A-10 Universal Rudder Milestone: KIHOMAC Delivers 400th Unit to U.S. Air Force

Layton, Utah – September 24, 2021 – KIHOMAC, Inc. proudly celebrated the on-time delivery of its 400th A-10 Universal Rudder to the U.S. Air Force. Despite facing major challenges—including a local earthquake, damaging winds, and the COVID-19 pandemic—KIHOMAC fulfilled its contract commitments without delay.

President Adam Grimm emphasized the company’s focus on mission success:
“KIHOMAC recognizes the importance of a strong supply chain. Our on-schedule delivery reflects our dedication to supporting the U.S. military.”

The A-10 Universal Rudder program significantly improves aircraft availability and reduces maintenance burden for the Air Force. These deliveries have eliminated 400 MICAP (Mission Capable) hours per month and returned 1.5 squadrons of A-10 aircraft to operational readiness. The parts also reduce the time and labor required for field maintenance, enhancing overall efficiency across the fleet.

Alongside this milestone, KIHOMAC unveiled a new 10,000-square-foot aircraft hangar at its Layton, Utah facility. The hangar expands KIHOMAC’s integration testing capabilities and enhances support for Air Force programs.
