      <title>Senator Hatch Tours KIHOMAC Layton Precision Fabrication Center</title>

      <description>Layton, Utah (March 12, 2012) &#45; Senator Orrin Hatch personally visited the Layton KIHOMAC Prototype Engineering and Fabrication Center on March 12th, 2012.&amp;nbsp; The Senator&#8217;s visit was intended to explore ways in which KIHOMAC is contributing to Utah&#8217;s local economy and serving the Hill Air Force Base community.&amp;nbsp; We were excited to take the opportunity to show him the extensive 19,500 square feet aerospace metal structure facility in Layton, Utah; and brief him on the planned expansion of 20,000 square feet of aerospace composite structure facility in West Haven, Utah.
Senator Hatch was briefed on our facility&#8217;s dynamic capabilities set, including systems engineering, maintenance support, reverse engineering and prototyping.&amp;nbsp; As an ally for Hill AFB, Senator Hatch was interested in KIHOMAC&#8217;s involvement with the essential A&#45;10 program there.&amp;nbsp; We were especially pleased to show him how we contribute to the USAF plan to keep the aircraft current and sustainable through 2040.
Of particular interest to Senator Hatch was our success in creating a prototype part for the A&#45;10. This case was the ideal example to demonstrate our cost savings benefits to our military customers.&amp;nbsp; We presented our methods for using legacy data and specified engineering analysis to create a 3&#45;Dimension Stereo Lithography fit check model before creating a prototype, ensuring that errors were minimal and final products were accurate.&amp;nbsp; Sen. Hatch was impressed by the efficiency demonstrated through these capabilities and was excited about the growth potential for using these capabilities in future projects.
Senator Hatch lauded the KIHOMAC story as the epitome of a small business success and &#8220;can&#45;do&#8221; attitude in the Utah community.&amp;nbsp; The benefits of our high end results at the lower costs associated with smaller business are demonstrable in our A&#45;10 participation.&amp;nbsp; Senator Hatch&#8217;s visit highlighted a thriving element of the local economy, but one that is growing through application of high technology equipment and state of art facility to succeed in aerospace reverse engineering and prototype fabrication work.&amp;nbsp; Senator Hatch&#8217;s visit was a welcome opportunity for KIHOMAC to exhibit how we help our military and government customers save money while growing the local economy.

      <title>Senator Hatch Press Conference at KIHOMAC Layton</title>

      <description>Layton, Utah (March 26, 2012) &#45; Senator Hatch, demonstrating his commitment to local Utah small businesses, made a visit to the Layton office of KIHOMAC in early March.&amp;nbsp; Citing all the Layton office does to support programs at Hill Air Force Base, Senator Hatch and Representative Bishop later selected KIHOMAC facility as their podium for a press conference held to discuss their thoughts on upcoming Base Realignment and Closures.
Many of KIHOMAC&#8217;s projects are currently in direct support of HAFB.&amp;nbsp; By speaking to the danger of base closures, Senator Hatch and Representative Bishop sought to illustrate to the press and the public the impact cutbacks or a closure would have on the local economy.&amp;nbsp; The press conference coincided with Senator Hatch and Congressman Bishop inviting U.S. Air Force Secretary Michael Donley to Hill AFB in an effort to highlight the importance of the base to the local area, and save it from major budget cuts.
 &#8220;Today was a great day for Northern Utah, and I look forward to continuing to work with the (congressional) delegation and Secretary Donley to show why Hill is second to none and must remain a central figure in keeping America safe,&#8221; Hatch said.
KIHOMAC Aerospace Staff Vice President Stephen Pinchak was on hand to greet the Senator. Speaking to the press following the conference Pinchak said the company, which was established in 2005 and has nearly 130 employees, represents the job growth that comes with the private sector working in partnership with the military.
Although budget cuts and possible closures are looming in the future of military bases around the country, Senator Hatch and Congressman Bishop articulated that Hill AFB is simply too valuable and efficient to be the victim of closure.&amp;nbsp; Senator Hatch stated &#8220;These are very trying times because we know that they&#8217;re going to try to cut back on the military,&#8230;(but) based upon environmental assessments, Hill could come out of this very well.&#8221;
The press conference was extensively covered by the local press:&amp;nbsp;

      <description>FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA.&amp;nbsp; April 16th, 2012 &#45; The KIHOMAC team is pleased to announce ISO 9001:2008 with AS9100:2009 Rev C certification.
Having met the stringent requirements of this internationally accepted aerospace standard quality management system, we are able to more fully serve our customer&#8217;s interests.&amp;nbsp; AS9100 Rev C provides a framework which lets our customers know that all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements have been met, letting us dedicate more of our efforts into tailoring additional processes to meet their specific needs.
Maintaining AS9100 Rev C certification is an ongoing effort that incorporates concepts of continual growth and improvement.&amp;nbsp; Certification is granted in three year increments with annual surveillance audits.&amp;nbsp; We initially received this certification in January of 2011 and experienced our first thorough audit in December of that year.&amp;nbsp; We are excited to use AS9100 Rev C guidelines as a map toward achieving exceptional quality. In advance of the 2012 audit we are already improving, looking now for how to implement processes that allow for preventative rather than corrective actions.
AS9100 Rev C certification, which extends our ISO 9001 registration to January 2014, also allows for companywide consistency among all of our operating locations.&amp;nbsp;  Whether dealing with our offices in Utah or Virginia, customers know that keystones such as document control will always be held to the same standards and processes.&amp;nbsp;  Continual improvements and growth are an essential part of the KIHOMAC culture, and we are glad to include AS9100 Rev C requirements into our journey toward providing our customers with stellar processes and products.  KIHOMAC is dedicated to providing our customers with the best in everything, including process control/quality management.&amp;nbsp;  Quality Manager Diane Countryman sums up how valuable this certification is, saying &#8220;achieving this certification serves our customers in the highest possible fashion and preserves the longevity of the company.&#8221;

      <title>SHARP Award</title>
      <link>http://www.kihomac.com/news/view/kihomac_sharp/</link>
      <guid>http://www.kihomac.com/news/view/kihomac_sharp/#When:15:43:28Z</guid>
      <description>(LAYTON, Utah) KIHOMAC was presented the SHARP Award by the State of Utah Labor Commission as the eighth company in the state of Utah to receive this prestigious award. The SHARP Award recognizes small employers who operate an exemplary safety and health management system. Acceptance of KIHOMAC into SHARP from OSHA is an achievement of status that singles out KIHOMAC among its business peers as a perfect model for worksite safety and health.

CEO and Owner of KIHOMAC, Mr. Ki Ho Kang, first established a company goal of meeting the OSHA standards, but it was soon evident to Mr. Kang that KIHOMAC would not settle for just meeting the standard, but would soon set a new goal of exceeding the standards through the SHARP. Mr. Kang said, &#8220;It was the support and hard work of every KIHOMAC employee and manager that made winning this award possible.&#8221;

The Director of the Prototype, Engineering, and Fabrication Center, Mr. Chris Burton, has stressed to each employee that being proactive in terms of safety leads to fewer injuries and will posture the company to run more smoothly, and in the long run everyone benefits.

Mr. Ki Ho Kang expects the SHARP will exponentially increase the amount of available resources in the future by facilitating increased production, higher employee morale, and providing a top notch facility.

KIHOMAC was featured in the Standard &#8211;Examiner Davis Bureau.
